Janie Thompson-Lide was born in NYC and is now a resident of NJ.  She is an accomplished painter utilizing oils, watercolors, acrylics, color pencils and more.

She paints in earth-tone colors. Being a Black American, those colors always seem to make her feel particularly close with her ancestors.  The warm colors reminds her of a great big hug.  Naturally, she gravitated to three dimension art.  She decided to design and make jewelry as part of her art gallery.  She is adding fabric art pieces soon and is so excited to do  so.

This has always been her dream to take her passion for art and have it in her own gallery!
